The Home for Early Years and Primary Education Inspiration Returns
Almas Team
“Since 2009, we have been lucky enough to support thousands of early years and primary education professionals, including the children under their supervision. Join our fantastic community in 2022 and be part of something special – an event that strives to improve the education and development of children”.
The Childcare & Education Expo is finally returning to London on the 4th – 5th March 2022 and is being held at Olympia London. After a two year break due to the coronavirus pandemic, the team behind this fantastic event for the early years and primary education sectors promise that the show will be worth the wait.
CPD Seminars, Panel Discussions and Workshops
So what’s in store? It comes as no surprise that the event is delivering an unrivalled speaker programme made up of 26 childcare experts. The programme will consist of CPD seminars and panel discussions that are set to tackle a number of topics from developing literacy, to preparing for inspections and nature pedagogy. Visitors can get ready to challenge their perspective on education and receive updates and support for the EYFS reforms direct from Ofsted.
For a hands on experience, free interactive workshops will take place throughout both days at the show. During these exciting sessions, visitors can become an expert in mindfulness, loose-parts play, phonics, physical development, science and music! No matter the activity – fun is always guaranteed.
A previous visitor of the show commented;
“Attending reminded me that I am part of a much bigger and wider community of practitioners that each and every one of us was passionate enough about what we do to travel to London off our own backs to improve the life chances of the children we teach. I would recommend attending, if only to remind yourself that you are not alone, that you don’t need to work in a bubble and that there are lots of people out there just as willing to get covered in glitter, pretend to eat a playdough cake, talk seriously to a puppet and sit on the tiniest of chairs.” – Louise Smith, Visitor, London
Special Guests and Feature Areas
Returning to the show as special guests are the renowned Alistair Bryce-Clegg and Annabel Karmel! Alistair, award-winning author and Owner of ABC Does, will be running two seminars. First is ‘Play – The Superpower We All Possess’ on the 4th March and on the 5th, ‘An Environment to Thrive In’ – exploring the science and research around today’s Early Years environments in a search for evidence of their impact. Mum, entrepreneur and children’s food expert Annabel Karmel, can be found on her exhibition stand, meeting visitors, taking questions and sharing her expert advice.
Within the exhibition and shopping village, a number of feature areas designed to bring out creativity and spark imagination can be found. Creative Steps Magazine and YPO are collaborating once again on their brilliant craft zone and the popular colouring wall and mindfulness painting features will also be making a return.
Be sure to take a trip to ‘A Magical Place to Play’, the inspirational feature area run by Langley Hall Day Nursery and Langley Hall Primary Academy. Together, they will be bringing fairy-tales to life and demonstrating how to create a stimulating and resource-rich environment across all areas of continuous provision.

Across the show floor there is something to suit everyone’s needs. Visitors can source new products and suppliers, meet associations, seek advice and take advantage of the numerous offers and competitions running throughout the event.
In the many catering and chill out zones, professionals can network and re-connect with those who they may not have seen over the past few years. For the first time, the show will include a dedicated speaker zone where visitors can meet with speakers from the seminar and workshop programme and have their questions answered.
With over 90 exhibitors already set to showcase their products and services and more joining by the day, it’s clear that the need for face-to-face networking is bigger now than ever before. Since registration has opened, floods of early years and primary education professionals have booked their place to the show and the buzz around the events return is electric.
