CCTV cameras have a certain field of vision, depending on the type and lens. It is important to cover the vulnerable access points to your site and any high risk internal areas. When we survey your site, we will agree with you how many cameras you need. How much memory is needed on your Network Video Recorder will be determined by number of cameras and your frame rate.
Up to 30 days of recording is generally advisable and we will provide an NVR with sufficient memory to achieve this. After this point, footage is overwritten. You can download footage of incidents so you don’t lose them, but you should have a policy governing who can access footage, download it and where it is kept.
