"At our upcoming stand at the Childcare Expo in September; for any attendee that visits our stand and scans in, we will donate £1 to Alice Charity.".
Almas are proud to announce that we have chosen to support Alice Charity in their mission to help vulnerable families get back on their feet.
Situated close to our Technical Hub in Crewe, working within a part of society that resonates with us and with connections through our team, they were a natural choice to champion.
What is Alice Charity?
Alice Charity is a not-for-profit organisation based in Newcastle and Stoke-on-Trent that are working to help support vulnerable families in the local area in a wide variety of ways and have been operating for about 10 years now.
Some of the projects they currently have in place are their ‘Pass it on’ project where pre-loved furniture is passed on to families in need. Their ‘Bump & Beyond’ project that focuses on providing material and emotion support for pregnant and new mums and their ‘Big cup’ which is a weekly play session organised for babies and toddlers.
They aim to try and provide families with enough support, helping them out of a dark place towards a brighter, less stressful future.
How do we plan to support?
We will be donating employees’ time to volunteering wherever Alice Charity wants us on an ongoing basis. Watch this space as the senior management team step up first.
Our local Security Consultant Russell Ellis will be helping to drop off collection boxes at local businesses.
At our upcoming stand at the Childcare Expo in September; for any attendee that visits our stand and scans in, we will donate £1 to Alice Charity.
These are only just a few of the things we plan an doing to help and we’re excited about being a part of Alice Charity’s work and aiding with all the exciting projects moving forwards.
